ARTWORK: The artist, Sheng-Shan Hsu, would like to pay homage to inspiration he received from the Lamaist(Buddhist) religion. The artist, having been frustrated in his attempts to design a flower from a single wire, dreamt of a journey to a simple ancient village in which a Lamaist monk was waving to him. Leading him as an old friend might, the monk brought him to a two-walled thatched hut. Within it, there were numerous handmade artworks. The monk made a simple hand gesture which clarified the technique the artist had been seeking. The artist awoke, overwhelmed and delighted, and mentally rehearsed what the monk in his dream had taught him
